VOLUME 47 Rise Up Ghost



Elvis continued sessions with RnB band The Roots led to the recording of "Wise Up Ghost" in 2013. 

This is the last entry..for the time being..in this series. I'll continue with another series of compilations that accompanies this series tomorrow..

1-2 Elvis performed the rare unreleased “Moonbeam Levels” and joined in the finale with all performers for 1999 at a 2013 Prince tribute concert in New York.
3 First performed at The EC & The Roots live showcase event at Brooklyn Bowl, New York.
4 A sample of this song features in the “Wise Up Ghost” album track “Come the Meantimes.”
5 Performed as a snippet in 2007, received it’s first full performance at The Roots Brooklyn Bowl show.

1,3,6-12 In Spring 2009 Elvis recorded another edition of Piano Jazz with Marian McPartland. On this occasion Elvis guest hosted and interviewed Marian. Elvis sang track 1 then played and discussed the other tracks.

4 Brand new discovery and addition to this volume. A snippet was performed in Nagoya 1994. 
5 Played once with Diana Krall in Santiago de Compostela in 2010. Elvis recently recorded the track for “Boardwalk Empire Vol. 2 OST.”
